Festivals & Events | | Event Highlight | | Formula 1 Korean Grand Prix Jeollanam-do, South Korea Sunday, July 10, 2011 The Korean Grand Prix is a proud part of the F1 Grand Prix racing series (the world’s greatest racing event), hosted by the Federation International de l’Automobile (FIA). 2011 marks Korea’s second consecutive year of hosting this major event and organizers have been hard at work upgrading and developing facilities to provide guests with an ever more comfortable and exciting racing experience.
The Korea International Circuit (KIC) located in Yeongam is drawing attention from drivers and audiences alike for its state-of-the-art facilities. The distinct counter-clockwise racing track stretches over 5.615 km (the longest straightaway in Asia). In addition to the adrenaline-pumping race itself, visitors to the F1 Korean Grand Prix can expect a variety of cultural events, special celebrations, and exhibitions.
